In late October 2025, the European Heat Pump Summit 2025 took place in Nuremberg, confirming its status as a leading international forum for the sector. 424 participants from 38 countries were present, from industry experts to research and academia professionals, participating in two days of knowledge sharing and technical insight. Alongside, 32 exhibitors presented new technologies and solutions in the Foyer Expo, strengthening the link between research, innovation, and real-world application.
Overall, the programme highlighted both the rapid evolution and the growing strategic importance of heat pump technology. This year’s focus topics included market developments, research and development, development of components and products, potentials and applications, and high-temperature and mega heat pumps.
The highlights of the summit include market analyses from Germany and the Netherlands illustrating how policy and infrastructure developments shape market growth and contributions from mechanical engineering showcasing how established industrial players are increasingly integrating heat pump solutions. Technological progress was also in the spotlight, including the example of the world’s largest R-744 heat pump project in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Networking remained a central feature of the event, with participants having the chance to connect informally and build new professional relationships. Overall, the Summit demonstrated a dynamic and forward-looking sector. The European Heat Pump Summit 2026 is planned for the 13th-15th of October next year.
