On 20–21 May 2025, the Re-Energize Project held its 1st Technical Meeting in Kaunas, Lithuania, bringing together partners from across Europe to align on the project’s next critical steps. The meeting marked a key milestone as the consortium transitions from research to development and implementation.
Wrapping Up the Research Phase
The meeting began with a review of the completed research phase, which involved collecting data through surveys across partner countries. This research provided valuable insights into the current landscape of skills, training needs, and energy efficiency awareness in the building and heat pump sectors.
Building Capacity Through Training
A significant focus of the meeting was the design of training materials that will support both professionals and trainers in renewable heating and cooling technologies. The goal is to ensure the workforce is equipped with the skills necessary for the energy transition.
Designing the Digital Learning Experience
Partners also discussed the structure and functionality of the upcoming online learning platform, which will host interactive and accessible modules for learners across Europe. The digital environment will combine theoretical content with practical guidance, making it a flexible tool for upskilling.
Preparing for Impact through training
Looking ahead, the Re-Energize Project will launch trainings, targeting 385 building sector professionals and 115 vocational trainers. These efforts aim to boost the deployment of heat pump technologies and revitalize the green skills landscape.
The Kaunas meeting set the tone for strong collaboration and innovation as Re-Energize moves forward.
